Hedi Azarpour

On January 21, 2023, the Temple Villamont in Lausanne welcomed the talented musician and artist Hedi Azarpour for a memorable concert. This event introduced the audience to the mesmerizing music of this Iranian Kurdish artist, infused with depth and classical Persian poetry.
Born in Iranian Kurdistan in January 1983, Hedi Azarpour quickly felt the need to explore profound philosophical questions about religion and truth. Facing severe restrictions in his homeland, he chose exile, pursuing his art and his quest for freedom of expression.
During the concert, Hedi captivated the audience with deep and expressive melodies, playing his instrument with rare sensitivity. His compositions, both lyrical and introspective, transported listeners into a rich and spiritual musical universe.
The event also highlighted his artistic commitment and courageous journey. Now a refugee in Switzerland, Hedi continues to share his passion through concerts, exhibitions, and his educational project, Espace Hedi, dedicated to fostering artistic growth.
The proceeds from this concert were donated to the Femme Vie Liberté – Zan Zendegui Azadi association in support of women’s rights in Iran.
This concert was a profound experience, blending music and personal history, leaving an indelible mark on the hearts of the Lausanne audience.
